Grandpa Bo’s Baked Potato Soup
Peel 12 very small red potatoes and boil until done.  If the potatoes are too big, cut them into smaller pieces.  Prepare mix as directed.  In each bowl, place two potatoes pour soup over the top and sprinkle with cheese.

Confederate Chicken Enchilada Soup
Prepare mix as directed without adding the chicken.  Take 1 - 1 ˝ dozen tamales out of the shuck and warm in either the microwave or oven.  Place the warm tamales in a casserole dish, pour soup over the top, sprinkle with grated cheese and chopped onions. And bake at 350 degrees until the cheese melts.

 

Red River Rice Soup
For a great gumbo, prepare mix as directed, but instead of using chicken add shrimp (peeled), 1 link of smoked sausage cut into pieces, and  1 can of okra and tomatoes.  Simmer another 5 minutes to combine flavors.
 

Cherokee Cheese Soup
Make a great broccoli and cheese soup by preparing mix as directed, but instead of adding chicken add frozen broccoli.  
 

Cherokee Cheese Soup
Prepare mix as directed without adding chicken.  Serve 4 bowls with chicken added and sprinkle top with chopped parsley.  Serve along with a green salad.  Mix remaining two bowls of cheese soup with 1 can of crabmeat and serve as a sauce over pasta.

 

Old Mexico Cheese Soup
Prepare mix as directed except with 1 less cup of milk.  This soup will now become very thick.  Pour over tortilla chips or Fritos and top with cheese.  This will make an outstanding Frito pie.
 

Texas Two Steppin' Chicken Tamale Soup
To make delicious nachos, prepare mix as directed.  Use any left over soup as sauce over tortilla chips and sprinkle top with grated cheese.
 

Down on the Bayou Shrimp Dinner
Prepare mix as directed.  Use as a sauce over baked fish.

Great Grandma Cora’s Corn Chowder
To make a great corn and crab chowder, prepare mix as directed except substitute cream style corn instead of regular corn.  Add 1 can of crabmeat or 1 package frozen crawfish tails.  

Texas Fire Dip
Add dry mix to any cornbread mix to make a great jalapeno cornbread.

Cousin Ana Mary’s French Onion Soup
Add 2 cups water to dry mix. Place roast in a baking pan.  Pour mixture over top and bake.  Add more water as needed.  Use left over liquid for a gravy over the roast.

Chipotle Sauce Mix (with chicken)
Mix package with 1 jar of peach preserves or jelly.  Bake chicken.  During the last 15 minutes spread the mixture over the chicken as a glaze.
 

Chipotle Sauce Mix (with pork)
Mix package with 1 jar of raspberry preserves or jelly.  Bake pork chops.  During the last 15 minutes spread the mixture over the pork chops as a glaze.

Little Chickie’s Chicken & Dumplin’ Soup
Before putting the tortillas in, let them sit out on the counter for 15 minutes to dry out.  By doing this the dumplings will be firmer.

Bread & Butter Pickle Mix
Prepare mix as directed.  The liquid can be used more than once.  When you are through you will be left with a small amount of liquid.  Use this left over liquid as a flavored vinegar in bean soups.

Steak Seasonings
Rub cooking oil on hand and sprinkle with steak seasoning.  Rub oil and seasoning mixture into steak.
